Magnetic Tape Billing - Customer s have the capability of requesting their EasyLink bill to be placed on magnetic tape.
Mailbox - A user's database on the post office. The mailbox contains the user's setup information, personal groups, and rules. It also contains references (pointers) to the user's messages in the message databases.
Mailgram - Paper mail service which provides next day delivery of message to most major cities in the U.S, Canada, Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands.
Major Account Flag - This flag is located in SFS & IMS at the EDI, ELN & ORIGINATOR Levels. The Major Account group will notify Customer Provisioning to set this flag so that special handling procedures can be followed on these accounts.
Maximum Retries - Permits a user to specify maximum number of attempts at delivery of forced delivery message types (DDD, TLX, FAX). This was developed for ARX Customer s. (SEE CUTOFF TIME).
MBX - Command used to empty a mailbox.
Message - A collective term for mail and phone messages, appointments, tasks, notes, workflow steps, and other custom message types.
MCO - Maintenance change order - Shipping a replacement dialer to the customer.
Modem - Device used for signal transformation between terminal devices and lines.
MROUTE - Also known as Secondary Rout to Redilist. Customer has the option of specifying their incoming traffic to also be delivered to another destination(s). A redilist is created "MROUTE" that contains the additional destination addresses in SFS. An entry is made in SFS on the ELN panel that represents the primary delivery point that associates the Redilist name with the primary ELN. The user name that is specified will be the one that will be billed for the messages that automatically delivers to the Redilist. The message will look as if the user had forwarded the message himself and will contain a new EasyLink message number.
Multiple Addresses - Transmission of messages to more than one destination with common text.

Nickname - An optional ID for a user, resource, or group. A nickname can be used to shorten a lengthy address, to control object visibility, or to identify a user in a role instead of as an individual.
Notification of Delivery - Notification of delivery reflecting date, time and destination terminal.
Notify ELN - Specified ELN to which all delivery notifications are routed.

Offline - Stored information not accessible from operator's terminal. At present, off-line retrieval function required on traffic over 3 days.
On Demand - Dialing 01 instead of 011 or 0+NPA instead of 1+NPA to use assured service on a line that is provisioned for real time service.
Online - Stored information accessible form operator's terminal. At present, traffic within 3 days is online.
On Net - Using the 1010543 pick code to reach EasyLink network. Only available in limited areas.
Originator: Creator of traffic - subscriber or non- subscriber.
Outbound Link - A link that defines how the local domain connects to another domain. Outgoing messages sent to the other domain are routed according to the outbound link information for the local domain. See also link, inbound link.
Override - Dialing 01 instead of 011 or 0+NPA instead of 1+NPA to use real time service on a line that is provisioned for auto-assured.
Owner (Resource) - The user responsible for accepting or declining scheduling requests for a resource.
