I

Identification Number - Is a number you receive from EasyLink when you establish your EasyLink account. You may have one or more Identification Numbers, each of which identifies the source (a fax machine or computer) from where you initiate your broadcasts. Every broadcast list is associated with a specific Identification Number. You can create up to 99 broadcast lists for every Identification Number defined in your Broadcast List Manager system. Special configurations of the Broadcast List Manager software allow up to 999 broadcast lists for every Identification Number.
IDR - A small plastic case dialer. Manufactured by IDR to EasyLink specifications.
Importing - Is the process of bringing information into the Broadcast List Manager software automatically from an external file. Broadcast List Manager gives you the ability to import list recipient data from .CSV, comma-delimited text (.TXT), and tab-delimited text formatted files.
Inbound Link - A link that defines how another domain connects to the local domain. Incoming messages to the local domain are routed according to the inbound link information for the local domain. See also link, outbound link.
Indirect Link - A link from one domain to another through a third domain. See also link, direct link.
Infomaster Computer - Store and forward computerized message switch. EasyLink relays Mailgram, telegram and cablegram thru Infomaster, which in turn assigns those messages a journal ledger number.
Ingress - the method by which the customer's faxes reach EasyLink network.
Instant Mail - Term used to describe EasyLink message transmission.
Intercept Test - A test to see if a connector is hooked up and programmed with a certain dialing pattern.
Interdigit Timing - The time the dialer waits between the digits the customer dials before assuming that they have finished dialing
INT - Destination indicator for an international message, commonly referred to as a cablegram.
INTPBX - A dialer program that relies on the ANI programmed into the dialer to identify the ANI. It routes international calls to EasyLink network.
INT800 - A dialer program that uses ANI identification to identify the ANI and routes international calls to EasyLink network.
IQ-Fax - A fax machine made by Panasonic with a portion of the IDR dialer technology built in.
IRC - International Record Carrier - carrier other than EasyLink - Domestic non - EasyLink telex number requiring a 71 prefix.
ITE - International Telex Exchange.
ITX - Destination indicator for international telex message.

LF - Line feed.
Logon - Registered information, which identifies a manual DDD originator. The logon consist of four parts - Terminal Type, EDI, User name and password
